about
Crash Overcast’s new single “Bloodrush” is a harrowing pop punk concept song about the apocalypse and the world’s self destruction as we know it. The song features driving guitars, soaring vocals, heavy breakdowns, and depicts vivid imagery of humankind working to cling to its very existence in a do-or-die scenario. What caused mankind’s meltdown? Was it a plague of some sorts? A natural disaster? A brutal war? Ultimately after hearing Bloodrush, it is up to the listener to decide.
lyrics
This is the new bloodrush
This is the pain under your skin that you can’t treat
And no modern medicine can infiltrate the wound letting the cycle repeat
With cold as bitter as the lie they sold us all
What little hope we have we clutch in this absolute downfall
But don’t you walk away
We’ll never walk away
It’s too late to walk away
Unless we break break break
Brace yourself for the world
Colliding into the saddest song
Sung under oblivion
Brace yourself for the world
Colliding into the final hour
Save what’s our’s
Keep composure
Grit your fucking teeth
Wait this can’t be right
The plights of our kind
Blotted out of history tonight
Fruits of our labor start to spoil
As the future’s set alight
We wove ourselves into this fabric of this land bleak and barren
Stand down as progress runs its
Hands through our homes, our sweat, our lives, our spirits
Has hope fluttered away?
And can our world be saved
Years crumble in decay
There’s a map of the future
And our half’s torn away
There’s no bridge or a way around
The ground giving way
